My wife and I are still raving about Anne and her Au GitAnn Bed & Breakfast! Just at the point in our honeymoon where we were ready for some skillful local’s knowledge, we arrived here! Anne’s charming nature and readiness to make sure we made the best of our 3 days in Montreal won us over immediately! Furthermore, as we explored further corners of the city we grew to appreciate the central location of the bed & breakfast too!
Anne, herself, was invaluable in filling us in on where to go and when. She even managed to steer us clear of some of the more common touristy areas of the city and as a result we were able to experience some of Montreal’s hidden gems.
Our second time staying with Anne, both early September. She thinks of everything, with round-the-clock hot drinks and kitchen access, as well as speedy internet access. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The truly remarkable step that Anne takes which places her above the ordinary is the time she makes to share her love and knowledge of the city, getting to know you and making recommendations to make your visit memorable. I highly recommend staying with Anne.
It was our first time vacationing in Montreal and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay at. Anne was a most delightful host. She was very warm and attentive. The bedroom, living and dining areas, kitchenette, and bathroom at Anne’s was very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Even better yet, her place was very close to all the amenities and places we wanted to visit. She even made sure that we had a spot to park our car on her street safely and for free. Anne took the time to map out the most convenient routes for us each day and made wonderful suggestions so we could experience Montreal’s hidden treasures.
Anne went out of her way to facilitate our parking on her street! What a relief after other large cities. We were guests, not paying customers. She has an interesting home and what a privilege to be her guests! Her insights on Montreal were insightful and as good as any guide’s. The neighborhood is a handy one from which to set out and explore this glorious city. We were on the street in less than an hour after arriving. Very happy with our rooms, which were clean and comfortable. We were four traveling from France, in June, 2013. Very nice dining room and kitchenette to ourselves so that we were able to have all breakfasts and several meals in. We will send our friends back! Hopefully, return ourselves one day.
Very clean, homey, the owner Ann makes you feel right at home, and the beds are absolutely brilliant. Location is ideal down a quiet street a mere minutes away from the main metro station Berri-UCAM. Highly recommend and will return again.
This is a lovely B&B in a great location. Close to several Metro stations and an easy walk to several good restaurants and shopping areas. Our hostess was the best, sitting with us every morning as we ate breakfast and helping us outline our activities for the day complete with maps and how to get there, etc. Montreal is a lovely city and we enjoyed it that much more with the enthusiastic activities endorsed by Ann. She is rightfully proud of her B&B, it has recently been updated. Our room was spacious and bright with a (very) small deck, private bath, hardwood floors and comfortable bed. We did not use our car at all. Don’t miss the Botanical Gardens!
I had a great time in Montreal, staying at the Au GitAnn B&B. The hostess Anne Messier was extremely kind and gracious to me upon my late arrival as well as throughout my stay. The room was comfortable and the home accessible from the Metro.
Absolutely loved this place and will be recommending it to all who travel here.
Ann was an amazing host! So helpful, accomodating and such a cool lady! She truly went above and beyond.
The rooms were clean and very comfortable, the neighborhoods was very conveniently located. So glad we found this place as I will definitely be a return guest 🙂
We came up from New York for just a weekend getaway, and found ourselves perfectly and comfortably situated in the middle of everything. Anne kindly met us at our odd hour of arrival and made us feel immediately at home. The picasso room in which we stayed was perfect to lounge about in, with its separate sitting room and balcony and spacious bedroom. It made me wish I lived there. Anne offered excellent suggestions for what to see and where to eat. She has excellent taste and a great sense of humor. I’d recommend to anyone.
Anne was a fantastic, warm, and caring host. She energetically offered suggestions on local restaurants and events, and gave tips for travel routes and finding good seats. Whether you are there for work or play, she will find something enjoyable for you to do. Her house is lovely and the rooms are very clean. Her hospitality makes you feel that the place is your home too. I highly recommend staying at Au GitAnn!
Fabulous location, very helpful and friendly host, and overall, a great experience for Montreal! The host helped my friend and I plan our days and itinerary, and helped us with the transit system and everything! I would love to stay here again. 🙂
This is a great B&B. Clean, comfortable, safe, cozy and beautiful. I stayed at au GitAnn B&B in Montreal for the weekend of Formula 1 (June 2013).
